National Employee Morale Day At Boeing

Boeing (NYSE: BA) workers have to put up with the fact that their CEO W. James McNerney Jr. is one of the worst big company chief executives on the planet. Try as he might, he cannot get the Dreamliner  into the hands of anxious customers.

Now, Boeing will consolidate some of its Military Aircraft operations.  This will “including consolidating the organization from six divisions to four, to continue to position the company for growth in the current business environment,” the company said in a press release.

And, to make sure the restructuring is worthwhile, “Efficiency improvements achieved through this organizational realignment will result in some work force reductions, beginning with approximately 10 percent of BMA executive positions. Additional reductions across all levels of the organization are anticipated in coming months.”

It is almost certain that none of the most senior management will be on its way anywhere.
