The first ‘General Purpose’ (GP) light reconnaissance vehicle was designed, built, and delivered to the U.S. Army in 1940, and the ubiquitous MB model went into production in 1941. The ‘Jeep’ moniker was soon attached to the vehicle and the rest, as the saying goes, is history.
To celebrate that history, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (NYSE: FCAU), the current maker of Jeep branded vehicles, has launched 75th anniversary models of the venerable vehicles. The company is also offering special promotional pricing, leasing, and financing deals on 2016 models.
For example, the Jeep Cherokee 75th Anniversary model with an MSRP of $27,875, is available on a 36-month lease for $282 a month with a $2,000 bonus cash offer until February 29th. The company is also offering a 0% financing deal for 60-months with a $1,000 cash allowance and a cash allowance of $2,500. With 4-wheel drive the MSRP is $29,875.
A 75th Anniversary edition of the Wrangler Unlimited sells for an MSRP of $38,375 for a 4-wheel drive model and is available with 3.84% financing for 60 months.
The anniversary edition of the Patriot starts at an MSRP of $25,845 for the 4-wheel drive model with a lease deal of $257 a month for 36 months and up to $2,000 in bonus cash. The same vehicle is also available with a 0% financing deal for 60 months and a cash allowance of up to $1,500. A cash allowance of up to $3,000 is also available for buyers.
