Binance Coin (BNB) is the native cryptocurrency of the Binance exchange, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges globally. It was launched in 2017 as part of Binance's initial coin offering (ICO) to fund the development of the exchange. BNB serves various purposes within the Binance ecosystem, including discounted trading fees for users who pay with BNB, participation in token sales on the Binance Launchpad platform, and as a means of payment for goods and services through merchants that accept BNB.
