In 2013, then-real-estate mogul, now-president, Donald Trump acquired a five-acre estate on Plum Bay Beach on the Caribbean island of St. Martin. The property was listed for $19.7 million, although the actual price Trump paid was not disclosed.
Trump rented the nine-bedroom villa with its own tennis court, fitness center, putting green and pool for a minimum of five days. The estate included the services of a personal chef, a butler and a “personal laundress,” according to a report in the World Property Journal. Rental rates were not known.
The estate now appears to be for sale, according to Point2Homes.com, through Sotheby’s International Realty. Known as Château des Palmiers, the estate’s main house has five bedrooms, and a separate garden-side villa has another four. A manager’s house with two bedrooms is also included on the site.
According to the notice at Sotheby’s website:
The 4 bedroom garden side villa features the” Jungle Room” with king size bed and small living room, the “Palm Room” with king size mahogany bed and a 2 bedroom Suite with queen size beds, a shared living room and cozy dining room. There is also a huge commercial catering kitchen.
Other amenities include air conditioning in all rooms, an outdoor sound system, and internet access. The property also has a state-of-the-art security system, surveillance cameras and an 8 ft. boundary wall for complete privacy. The 5 feet tall, beachfront wall is perfectly elevated for an unobstructed view of the ocean and beach yet maintains privacy.
The website for 7th Heaven Properties, a self-described Caribbean Property Specialist, lists the Terres Basses property for sale at a price of $28 million. If it sells for that price, President Trump will have realized a tidy 42% profit in just three years.
A “huge” kitchen and an eight-foot wall certainly sound to us like a fully-equipped Trump property.
