Top Dow Stocks Reporting Earnings This Week

Third-quarter earnings reporting season is underway, and 24/7 Wall St. has put together a preview of some of the Dow Jones Industrial Average companies scheduled to report their quarterly results this week. Overall, one-third of the Dow is reporting this week, and this has the potential to push the Dow back up to its highs.

We included the consensus earnings estimates from Thomson Reuters and the stock price and trading history, as well as added some additional color on each.

Be advised that the earnings and revenue estimates may change ahead of the formal reports, and some companies may reschedule reporting dates as well.

Visa Inc. (NYSE: V) will share its most recent quarterly results on Monday. The consensus estimates call for earnings per share (EPS) of $0.73 and $4.23 billion in revenue. Shares of Visa were at $82.35 at the close on Friday, in a 52-week trading range of $66.12 to $83.79. The stock has a consensus analyst price target of $92.43.

3M Co. (NYSE: MMM) is scheduled to reveal its third-quarter results on Tuesday. The consensus estimates call for $2.14 in EPS, as well as $7.71 billion in revenue. Shares were trading at $169.50 on Friday’s close. The consensus price target is $180.87. The stock has a 52-week range of $134.64 to $182.27.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) is set to report its fiscal fourth-quarter results on Tuesday. The consensus estimates are $1.65 in EPS and $46.89 billion in revenue. Shares were at $116.60 as last week came to a close. The consensus price target is $128.32, and the 52-week range is $89.47 to $123.82.

Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) is scheduled to report its most recent results on Tuesday. The analysts’ consensus estimates call for EPS of $0.77 and $9.84 billion in revenue. Shares were changing hands at $86.33 on Friday’s close. The consensus price target is $79.56, and the 52-week range is $56.36 to $89.87.

Procter & Gamble Co. (NYSE: PG) is expected to share its latest quarterly earnings on Tuesday. The consensus estimates call for $0.98 in EPS on $16.48 billion in revenue. Shares were at $84.33 on Friday’s close, in a 52-week range of $73.95 to $90.33. The consensus price target is $92.17.

Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) is set to reveal its third-quarter results on Wednesday. The consensus forecast calls for $2.60 in EPS, as well as $23.64 billion in revenue. The stock ended last week at $135.63 per share. The consensus price target is $148.71, and the 52-week range is $102.10 to $150.59.

Coca-Cola Co. (NYSE: KO) also will to share its latest quarterly earnings on Wednesday. The consensus estimates call for $0.48 in EPS and $10.54 billion in revenue. Shares were at $42.13 as Friday’s trading ended, in a 52-week range of $40.75 to $47.13. The consensus price target is $47.06.

Chevron Corp. (NYSE: CVX) also is scheduled to report its third-quarter results on Friday. The consensus analyst estimates call for $0.45 in EPS and revenue of $29.05 billion. Shares closed at $101.30 on Friday. The consensus price target is $111.46. The 52-week range is $75.33 to $107.58.

Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE: XOM) third-quarter results are expected on Friday as well. The consensus analyst estimates are $0.67 in EPS and revenue of $61.34 billion. Exxon shares closed at $86.62 on Friday. The consensus price target is $89.50, and the 52-week range is $71.55 to $95.55.
