Markets in Europe were slightly lower at 5.55 AM New York time.

The FTSE was off .1% to 6,362. Barclays was up .7% to 768. BP was down .8% to 534. BT was up 3.9% to 328.75. GlaxoSmithKline was down 1% to 1386. Prudential was up .3% to 722. Reuters was down .2% to 444.25. Unilever was down 2.7% to 1384. Vodafone was up 1.2% to 152.5.

The DAXX was off a fraction to 6,913. Bayer was down .6% to 44.71. DaimlerChrysler was down .1% to 48.34. DeutscheBank was up .3% to 107.29. Deutsche Telekom was up .8% to 13.81. SAP was up .5% to 35.56. Siemens was down .3% to 83.65.

The CAC 40 was down .1% to 5,698. Alcatel-Lucent was down .2% to 9.97. AXA was down .1% to 32.96. France Telecom was up .6% to 21.58. ST Micro was down .3% to 14.69. Vivendi was down .6% to 31.14.
