Markets in Euope were higher at 6.00 AM New York time.

The FTSE rose .6% to 6,383. Barclays was up 1.8% to 780. BP was up .8% to 539.5. BT was down .2% to 319. GlaxoSmithKline was up 2.3% to 1454. Reuters was down .1% to 441.25. Prudential was up 1.1% to 723. Unilever was up .7% to 1399. Vodafone was down 1% to 149.

The DAXX was up .6% to 6,915. Bayer was .5% to 44.6. DaimlerChrysler was up 2.8% to 49.32. DeutscheBank was up .6% to 107.11. Deutsche Telekom was up .6% to 13.73. SAP was up 2.4% to 36.42. Siemens was up .5% to 82.9.

The CAC 40 was up .6% to 5,699. Alcatel-Lucent was up 2.2% to 10.37. AXA was up .2% to 32.74. France Telecom was up 2.5% to 21,4, ST Micro was up 1.2% to 14.76. Vivendi was up .6% to 31.21.
