Analyst Calls On Countrywide (CFC) Still Way Off

A look at a collection of analyst calls on Countrywide Financial (CFC) shows that the mean target share price for the company is still above any level that makes sense.

CFC closed today at $8.64, down another 10%. To show how far off securities analysts can be, the Thomson/First Call target price for the stock is $23.35 based on information from ten analysts.

The average rating for the stock on a scale of 1 (strong buy) to 5 (strong sell) is 3.1.

That is pretty high for shares which could go to zero.
