The FTSE rose .4% to 6,285. BP (BP) was up 1.1% to 584. Northern Rock was up 27.5% to 109.5.
The DAXX rose .4% to 7,637. Deutsche Telekom (DT) fell 1.3% to 14.98. Siemens (SI) was up 2% to 100.19.
The CAC 40 was up .3% to 5,638. Alcatel-Lucent (ALU) rose 2.6% to 5.22
