The Hang Seng fell 6% to 13,097. HSBC (HBC) fell sharply.
The Shanghai Composite was up 3.7% to 1,928.
At the open in Europe, the FTSE 1.1% to 4,138. The Dax was off .6% to 4,592. The CAC 40 dipped 1.2% to 3,196.
