Today's Top Rumors (AIB, AAPL, ARMH, MSFT, ODP, RHT, SNE)

The holidays are upon us and the rumors are still active.

Allied Irish Banks plc (NYSE: AIB) depends upon which wire service you read, but reports signal that it could be nationalized as reports are coming out of a recapitalization.  Shares are now down 20% and may challenge the year low of $0.76 for ADRs.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) is rumored to have a speaker on its iPad 2 from multiple articles.  Why not a back scratching attachment too?

ARM Holdings plc (NASDAQ: ARMH) is still seeing rumors floated that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) is going to have an ARM-based version of Windows, although shares are taking a breather in early indications.

Office Depot, Inc. (NYSE: ODP) is indicated to open higher yet again on takeover rumors.

Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT) rumors of a headquarters move out to the West Coast from Raleigh are being brought up again (TechJournalSouth).

Sony Corp. (NYSE: SNE) is reportedly in talks to buy a Japanese microchip production line from Toshiba for close to $600 million (Reuters).
