Facebook Eschews Paper Stock Certificates (FB, AAPL, INTC, MSFT)

courtesy Facebook Inc.
Anyone hoping for a paper stock certificate to show off as a souvenir of ownership in Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ: FB) is going to be disappointed. The company has indicated through Computershare, its shareholders’ records manager, that there will be no certificates issued by the social networking company.

Facebook joins companies like Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL), Intel Corp. (NASDAQ: INTC), and Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT) that have already discontinued issuing paper certificates.

Neither Facebook nor Computershare made any comment on the issue. Here’s a link to the mock-up that the company filed with its registration statement, for those who want a souvenir.
