Today's Market Winners and Losers

The market is down based on Friday’s job report, which left the unemployment rate at 8.2% after the private sector added 80,000 in June. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 1.06%, the Nasdaq is down 1.13% and the S&P 500 is down 0.93%. Today’s market winner surged following an agreement to be bought out, while both market losers struggled with weak earnings forecasts.

Here are today’s winner and losers.

Market Winner

Shares of Lacrosse Footwear (NASDAQ: BOOT) surged 80.97% to $19.87 on trading volume of 1.3 million shares. The shoemaker announced it will be acquired by Japanese shoe retailer ABC-MART for $137 million in cash. Before Friday, the 52-week high was $14.39.

Market Losers

Shares of Informatica (NASDAQ: INFA) dropped 30.14% to $30.30 on trading volume of 10.1 million shares. The data-integration software firm announced it likely generated sales of $188 million to $190 million in the second-quarter, well short of the $217.4 million analysts  predicted,  according to a compilation by Bloomberg. Results will come out July 26. Before Friday, the 52-week low was $34.15.

Shares of Acme Packet  (NASDAQ: PKT) dropped 14.20% to $15.79 on trading volume of 3.3 million shares. The company forecasts second-quarter earnings of 12 cents to 13 cents a share on revenue of $66 million to $68 million, well short of the 18 cents a share on revenue of $73.9 million analysts polled by Thomson Reuters predicted . Results will come out July 26. Before Friday, the 52-week low was $17.18.
