The 52-Week Low Club for Wednesday Adds 405 New Members

October 1, 2014: The following stocks are among the 405 equities making new 52-week lows today:

Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE: ALU) dropped 2.6% Wednesday to a new 52-week low of $2.95. Share volume is about 35% higher than the daily average of around 6.5 million. The stock’s 52-week high is $4.68. The company today closed the sale of its enterprise business to a Chinese firm.

Westport Innovations Inc. (NASDAQ: WPRT) dropped nearly 30% today to post a 52-week — and 5-year — low of $7.40. The natural gas engine provider lowered its outlook after markets closed yesterday and said that full year revenue would be well short of consensus estimates and that adjusted EBITDA for the year will be negaitive. Share volume for today is nearly 8-times the average daily of around 660,000 shares.

Youku Tudou Inc. (NYSE: YOKU) sank to a new 52-week low on Tuesday of $17.23. Based on Tuesday night’s closing price of $17.92 that’s a drop of about 3.9%. The stock’s 52-week high is $37.74. Trading volume about 15% higher than the daily average of around 3 million shares. The company, which is thought of as the YouTube of China, had no specific news today.

The ExOne Co. (NASDAQ: XONE) posted a drop of about 14.5% today, on top of a 7.5% yesterday and posted a new 52-week — and all-time — low of $17.89. Volume is more than double the daily average of around 580,000 shares. The 3D printer maker had no news again today.
