Credit Suisse Group AG (NYSE: CS) dropped about 8.7% on Friday to post a new 52-week low of $21.75. The stock’s 52-week high is $33.23. Volume was was about 3-times the daily average of 1.1 million shares. The big bank has been battered by the drop in the Swiss franc.
Precision Castparts Corp. (NYSE: PCP) dropped more than 15% on Friday to establish a new 52-week low at $186.17 against a high of $275.09. Volume was roughly 10-times the daily average of around 900,000 shares. The company released weak preliminary results today as the impact of the crude price crash spreads.
United States Steel Corp. (NYSE: X) dropped about 0.6% on Friday to post a new 52-week low of $21.47 after closing at $21.61 on Thursday. The stock’s 52-week high is $46.55. Share volume is 25% below the daily average of around 7.4 million shares traded. Citigroup cut its forecast for iron ore earlier this week and the impact on U.S. Steel is still not over.
