January 20, 2015: Here are four stocks among the 158 equities making new 52-week lows today.

Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE: AMD) posted a new 52-week low on Tuesday of $2.19. Based on Friday night’s closing price of $2.39 that’s a drop of about 8.4%. The stock’s 52-week high is $4.80. Volume is more than 3-times the daily average of around 13.7 million shares. The company is reporting earnings after the closing bell Tuesday and either shorts are getting out expecting a big beat or longs are getting out expecting a dose of doom. Stay tuned.

Avon Products Inc. (NYSE: AVP) dropped nearly 3% on Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $7.25. The stock’s 52-week high is $16.54. Volume was was about 50% higher than the daily average of 10 million shares. The cosmetics maker continues to get banged around for a variety of reasons including departing salespeople and tough currency exchange rates.

Gran Tierra Energy Inc. (NYSEMKT: GTE) dropped more than 40% on Tuesday to establish a new 52-week low at $2.12 against a high of $8.18. Volume was about 6-times the daily average of around 1.4 shares. The company provided an operations update Tuesday morning that was most unwelcome to investors.

Regions Financial Corp. (NYSE: RF) dropped about 5.3% on Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $8.59 after closing at $9.07 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $11.54. Share volume was more than double the daily average of around 16 million shares traded. The bank missed on both earnings and revenue estimates Tuesday morning.
