January 22, 2015: Here are four stocks among the 105 equities making new 52-week lows today.

Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ: CSIQ) posted a new 52-week low on Thursday of $18.68. Based on Wednesday night’s closing price of $19.25 that’s a drop of about 3%. The stock’s 52-week high is $44.50. Volume is about 30% below the daily average of around 3.4 million shares. The company sold a Canadian solar farm to a Dutch firm this morning, the first of four solar projects it intends to sell to Netherlands-based DIF.

KB Home (NYSE: KBH) dropped about 1.5% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $11.76. The stock’s 52-week high is $20.78. Volume was was about 10% higher than the daily average of 4.7 million shares. The homebuilder’s fourth-quarter earnings results included a weakish outlook for the current quarter.

Royal Bank of Canada (NYSE: RY) dropped about 3.3% on Thursday to establish a new 52-week low at $59.50 against a high of $76.08. Volume was about 7-times the daily average of around 800,000 shares. The bank announced a $5.4 billion acquisition of Los Angeles-based City National Corp. (NYSE: CYN).

Vivus Inc. (NASDAQ: VVUS) dropped nearly 6% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $2.56 after closing at $2.72 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $8.44. Share volume was about 25% above the daily average of around 2 million shares traded. The biotech firm had no specific news today.
