The 52-Week Low Club for Thursday

May 21, 2015: Here are four stocks among the 50 equities making new 52-week lows today.

NetApp Inc. (NASDAQ: NTAP) dropped about 12.7% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $30.85 after closing at $35.33 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $43.75. Share volume was more than 6-times the daily average of around 3.3 million shares traded. The data storage company reported soft results and offered a weak outlook after markets closed on Wednesday.

Lumber Liquidators Holdings Inc. (NYSE: LL) posted a new 52-week low on Thursday. Shares dropped about 17% to $20.97 from Wednesday’s closing price of $25.27. The stock’s 52-week high is $84.77. Volume was more than double the daily average of around 6 million shares. The company’s CEO unexpectedly resigned this morning and the company’s founder is returning as acting CEO until a replacement is found.

Frontier Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: FTR) dropped about 0.5% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $5.31 after closing at $5.34 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $8.46. Share volume was about 20% below the daily average of around 10.5 million shares traded. The company had no specific news again today, but this is the second consecutive day the communications firm has posted a new 52-week low.

Stein Mart Inc. (NASDAQ: SMRT) dropped about 7.4% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $10.73 against a 52-week high of $16.65. The stock closed at $11.59 on Wednesday night. Volume was more than 40% higher than the daily average of around 210,000 shares. The  retailer missed earnings estimates this morning.
