Volume was about 50% above the daily average of around 1.6 million shares. The company’s reported earnings Friday and neither they nor the outlook gave investors a reason to smile.
New Gold Inc. (NYSEMKT: NGD) dropped about 5.9% on Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $3.03 against a 52-week high of $6.78. The stock closed at $3.22 on Friday night. Volume was about 15% above the daily average of around 3.3 million shares. The company had no specific news today, but gold closed down and that’s not a good thing for junior miners..
