May 28, 2015: Here are four stocks among the 71 equities making new 52-week lows today.

Alcoa Inc. (NYSE: AA) posted a new 52-week low on Thursday. Shares dropped about 1.7% to $12.57 from Wednesday’s closing price of $12.79. The stock’s 52-week high is $17.75. Volume totaled about 14 million shares, well below the daily average of around 25.4 million shares. The stock is being threatened by continued weakness in aluminum pricing.

Peabody Energy Corp. (NYSE: BTU) dropped about 2.3% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $3.35 after closing at $3.43 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $17.21. Share volume totaled around 7.5 million, well below the daily average of around 13.2 million shares traded. The coal miner’s stock has actually tacked on another 1.3% today to trade at $3.47 shortly before the closing bell.

Michael Kors Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: KORS) dropped another 0.5% on Thursday after falling nearly 25% on Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $45.68 after closing at $45.93 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $97.14. Share volume was more than 16 million shares, far above the daily average of around 3.9 million shares traded. The company posted awful quarterly results yesterday, and a weak outlook only made matters worse.

Neostem Inc. (NASDAQ: NBS) dropped nearly 23% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $2.03 against a 52-week high of $7.23. The stock closed at $2.63 on Wednesday night. Volume reached about 6.5 million shares, above the daily average of around 580,000 shares. The company priced a secondary offering of 12.5 million shares at $2.00 a share.
