Alcoa Inc. (NYSE: AA) dropped about 1.4% on Monday to post a new 52-week low of $12.24 after closing at $12.42 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $17.75. Share volume totaled about 13 million shares, just over half the daily average of nearly 25 million. In addition to weak aluminum prices, the company was highlighted today in an AP story on companies that have reported more favorable adjustments to earnings.
The Procter & Gamble Co. (NYSE: PG) dropped about 0.2% on Monday to post a new 52-week low of $77.10 after closing at $77.43 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $93.89. Share volume totaled around 7 million, above the daily average of around 8 million shares traded. The company had no specific news today.
Goldcorp Inc. (NYSE: GG) posted a new 52-week low on Monday. Shares dropped about 1.3% to $17.10 from Friday’s closing price of $17.24. The stock’s 52-week high is $29.65. Volume totaled about 4.4 million shares, well below the daily average of around 7.6 million shares. The company had no specific news today. Gold traded up about 0.4% today as the dollar weakened a bit.
Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc. (NYSE: POT) dropped about 1.9% on Monday to post a new 52-week low of $30.22 against a 52-week high of $38.58. The stock closed at $30.80 on Friday night. Volume totaled less than 3 million shares, about 25% below the daily average of around 4.1 million shares. The company had no specific news today.
