Volume totaled about 12 million shares, slightly more than half the daily average of around 23 million shares. Goldcorp Inc. (NYSE: GG) posted a new 52-week low on Wednesday. Shares dropped about 1.2% to a low of $16.20 from Tuesday’s closing price of $16.40. The stock’s 52-week high is $29.65. Volume totaled around 9 million shares, about 30% above the stock’s the daily average of 7.3 million. The company was one of many gold miners hit today by the drop in the price of gold.
