Frontier Communications Corp. (NASDAQ: FTR) posted a new 52-week low on Monday. Shares dropped about 0.1% to a low of $4.81 from Thursday’s closing price of $4.85. The stock’s 52-week high is $8.46. Volume totaled more than 27 million shares, about 20% higher than the stock’s daily average of around 22 million. The company had no specific news today, and is headed for a close on the plus side today.

Micron Technology Inc. (NYSE: MU) dropped about 4.4% on Monday to post a new 52-week low at $18.23 after closing at $19.07 on Thursday. The stock’s 52-week high is $36.59. Share volume totaled around 30 million, about 20% above the daily average of around 24 million shares traded. The company had no specific news today.

Alcoa Inc. (NYSE: AA) dropped about 1.6% on Monday to post a new 52-week low of $10.92 after closing at $11.10 on Thursday. The stock’s 52-week high is $17.75. Share volume totaled around 14 million shares, about 30% below the daily average of around 20 million. The company announced the permanent closure of a Brazilian smelter today.

AK Steel Holding Corp. (NYSE: AKS) dropped about 7.3% on Monday to post a new 52-week low of $3.29 against a 52-week high of $11.37. The stock closed at $3.55 on Thursday night. Volume totaled nearly 14 million shares, about 75% above the daily average of around 8.8 million. The steelmaking firm had no specific news today.
