Volume was about 30% below the daily average of around 21 million. Some of the company’s operations in Argentina have been suspended due to a spill.
United States Steel Corp. (NYSE: X) dropped about 5.6% on Wednesday to set a new 52-week low of $11.16 after closing at $11.82 on Tuesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $44.18. Share volume is about 10% below the daily average of around 11 million. The company is scheduled to resume talks with its United Steelworkers union employees this weekend.
