The 52-Week Low Club for Wednesday

October 7, 2015: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 28 equities making new 52-week lows today.

GoPro Inc. (NASDAQ: GPRO) dropped more than 10% on Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $27.52 against a 52-week high of $92.77. The stock closed at $30.65 on Tuesday night. Volume was about nearly double the daily average of around 9.5 million shares traded. The company’s price target was cut by half at Morgan Stanley today.

Nu Skin Enterprises Inc. (NYSE: NUS) dropped nearly 27% on Wednesday to post a new 52-week low at $34.03 after closing at $46.57 on Tuesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $62.87. Share volume was about 9 times the daily average of around 1 million. The company cut its sales guidance last night, blaming the strong dollar and softer trends in China.

Blue Buffalo Pet Products Inc. (NASDAQ: BUFF) dropped about 1.8% on Wednesday to post a new post-IPO low of $16.80 against a high of $28.80. The stock closed at $17.11 on Tuesday night. Volume was about 50% above the daily average of around 1.8 million shares traded. The company’s shares continue to slide since its July IPO. Shares are on track to close up more than 2% after the mid-afternoon plunge to the new low.

Pacira Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: PCRX) posted a new low on Wednesday. Shares dropped about 2.3% to a low of $35.78 from Tuesday’s closing price of $36.62. The stock’s 52-week high is $121.95. Volume was nearly double the daily average of around 880,000. The company had no specific news today. Shares recovered after an early drop and are on track to close up more than 4% on the day.
