The 52-Week Low Club for Thursday

December 31, 2015: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 65 equities making new 52-week lows today.

SeaDrill Ltd. (NYSE: SDRL) dropped about 2.1% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $3.31 against a 52-week high of $15.44. The stock closed at $3.38 on Wednesday night. Volume reached more than 6.5 million shares, roughly 60% of the stock’s daily average volume. The offshore drilling company had no specific news again today, but shares have been hammered for months.

America Movil SAB de CV (NYSE: AMX) dropped about 2.4% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low at $13.98 after closing at $14.33 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $23.67. Share volume of about 2.4 million was about half the daily average of around 4.5 million shares traded. The Mexico-based mobile phone company had no specific news today..

Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc. (NYSE: SHO) slipped about 1.8% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $12.45 against a high of $18.01. The stock closed at $12.68 on Wednesday night. Volume rose to around 2.5 million, about 10% higher than the daily average of around 2.3 million shares traded. The REIT had no specific news today.

Bed, Bath & Beyond Inc. (NASDAQ: BBBY) posted a new low on Thursday. Shares dropped about 1.8% to a low of $47.73 from Wednesday’s closing price of $48.61. The stock’s 52-week high is $79.64. Volume was about 25% lower than the daily average of around 2.3 million shares. The home decor retailer had no specific news today.
