March 30, 2016: Here are four stocks trading with relatively heavy volume among 13 equities making new 52-week lows in Wednesday’s session. Volume was light and buying was the order of the day with nearly 200 NYSE-traded stocks posting new 52-week highs.

EMCORE Corp. (NASDAQ: EMKR) posted a new 52-week low on Wednesday. Shares traded at a low of $4.96, down less than 1%, after closing at $5.00 on Tuesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $8.52. Volume totaled about double the daily average of around 240,000 shares. The semiconductor maker had no specific news on Wednesday.

Stellar Biotechnologies Inc. (NASDAQ: SBOT) dropped about 16% on Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $4.44 against a 52-week high of $10.98. The stock closed at $5.29 on Tuesday night. Volume totaled about 105,000 shares compared with the stock’s daily average volume of around 20,000. The company said yesterday it would delist from the Toronto Stock Exchange effective April 8th.

Achaogen Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAO) dropped more than 11% on Wednesday to post a new 52-week low at $2.71 after closing at $3.06 on Tuesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $8.79. Share volume of about 200,000 was nearly 4X the daily average of around 55,000 shares traded. The biotech company had no specific news Wednesday.

magicJack VocalTec Ltd. (NASDAQ: CALL) fell by about 1.3% on Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $6.22 against a high of $12.50. The stock closed at $6.30 on Tuesday night. Volume rose to around 175,000 shares, about 25% higher than the daily average of around 140,000 shares traded. The company also had no specific news on Wednesday.
