Monday's 52-Week Low Club Includes Skechers, Embraer

August 1, 2016: Here are four stocks trading with relatively heavy volume among 25 equities making new 52-week lows in Monday’s session. NYSE decliners led advancers by about 3 to 2 and Nasdaq decliners and advancers traded about even.

Skechers U.S.A. Inc. (NYSE: SKX) lost about 2% Monday to post a new 52-week low of $23.55 versus a high of $54.53 after closing Friday at $24.02. Volume totaled more than 2.5 million shares, about 15% below the daily average of about 3 million shares. The shoe company had no specific news Monday.

Embraer SA (NYSE: ERJ) dropped about 4.7% on Monday to post a new 52-week low of $17.43 after closing at $18.27 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $32.50. Volume was nearly double the daily average of around 1.2 million shares. The Brazilian aerospace company was downgraded this morning by analysts at RBC.

Cameco Corp. (NYSE: CCJ: SRCL) dropped about 4.7% on Monday to post a new 52-week low of $9.10 against a 52-week high of $14.79. Volume of around 2.3 million was about 15% below the daily average of around 1.7 million. The stock closed at $9.56 on Friday night. The uranium miner had no specific news Monday.

Bristow Group Inc. (NYSE: BRS) dropped about 7.2% on Monday to post a new 52-week low of $10.00 against a 52-week high of $46.40. Volume of around 1.5 million was about 25% above the daily average of around 1.1 million. The stock closed at $10.81 on Friday night. The company had no specific news Monday.
