Noble Corp., Community Health Anchor Friday's 52-Week Low Club

August 19, 2016: Here are four stocks trading with relatively heavy volume among 24 equities making new 52-week lows in Friday’s session. NYSE decliners led advancers by about 3 to 2 and Nasdaq advancers led decliners traded roughly equally.

Noble Corp. (NYSE: NE) dropped about 4.9% on Friday to post a new 52-week low of $6.08 after closing at $6.50 on Thursday. The stock’s 52-week high is $14.64. Volume totaled nearly 5.5 million shares, about 30% below the daily average of around 8.7 million shares. The offshore services company had no specific news Friday.

Community Health Systems Inc. (NYSE: CYH) lost about 3.7% Friday to post a new 52-week low of $9.66 after closing Thursday at $10.03. The 52-week high is $46.74. Volume of around 22.8 million was about a third below the daily average of around 4.3 million. The hospital operator had no specific news.

Liberty LiLAC Group (NASDAQ: LILAK) dropped 2.3% on Friday to post a new 52-week low of $27.82 against a 52-week high of $44.95. Volume of around 1.3 million was about 10% above the daily average of around 1.2 million. The stock closed at $28.46 on Thursday night.  The Latin American subsidiary of Liberty Global plc had no specific news.

American Renal Associates Holdings Inc. (NYSE: ARA) dropped about 20% on Friday to post a new 52-week low of $17.64 against a 52-week high of $29.65. Volume of around 1 million was about 6 times the daily average of around 150,000. The stock closed at $22.12 on Thursday night. The company received notice from some law firms Friday saying that the firms will begin investigating ARA for possible securities violations.
