Teva, FitBit Settle into Tuesday's 52-Week Low Club

December 6, 2016: Here are four stocks trading with relatively heavy volume among 35 equities making new 52-week lows in Tuesday’s session. On the NYSE, advancers led decliners by about 2.5 to 1 and on the Nasdaq advancers led decliners by about 2 to 1.

Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA) dropped about 6.7% on Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $34.57 after closing at $37.04 on Monday. The stock’s 52-week high is $66.55. Volume of about 26 million was nearly 3 times the daily average of 9 million. The company announced some key management changes this morning.

FitBit Inc. (NYSE: FIT) lost about 2.7% Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $7.81 after closing Monday at $8.03. The 52-week high is $33.99. Volume of around 9.7 million was about equal to the daily average of around 9.8 million shares traded. It does not seem as though investors believe the market for wearables will be as strong this holiday season as some analysts do.

Coca-Cola European Partners plc (NYSE: CCE) dropped about 3% on Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $30.55 against a 52-week high of $54.54 and a Monday close of $31.59. Volume of more than 8 million was about 4 times the daily average of around 2 million. The company had no specific news Tuesday.

Juno Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: JUNO) dropped about 8.3% on Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $18.72 after closing at $20.42 on Monday. The stock’s 52-week high is $50.95. Volume was more than double the daily average of around 2 million shares. The company had no specific news.
