What to Expect From Major Companies Reporting Earnings on Wednesday

24/7 Wall St. has put together a preview of some of the most anticipated quarterly results due on Wednesday. The broad markets hit new highs on Tuesday, giving more credence to the Trump rally. And potentially these upcoming earnings reports can push the broad markets even higher.

We have included the consensus earnings estimates from Thomson Reuters and the stock price and trading history, as well as some additional color on each.

Allergan PLC (NYSE: AGN) will share its most recent quarterly results before the markets open. The consensus estimates call for earnings per share (EPS) of $3.76 and $3.77 billion in revenue. Shares were trading at $236.45 on Tuesday, in a 52-week trading range of $184.50 to $301.32. The stock has a consensus analyst price target of $261.21.

Fourth-quarter results from Exelon Corp. (NYSE: EXC) also are scheduled for Wednesday morning. The consensus estimates call for $0.46 in EPS, as well as $7.49 billion in revenue. Shares were last seen at $35.95. The consensus price target is $38.50. The 52-week trading range is $29.82 to $37.70.

GrubHub Inc. (NYSE: GRUB) also is expected to report its fourth-quarter results. The analysts’ consensus estimates call for EPS of $0.25 and $137.31 million in revenue. Shares were changing hands at $41.43 on Tuesday. The consensus price target is $44.26, and the 52-week range is $18.68 to $44.58.

The latest quarterly earnings from Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) are coming out early on Wednesday. The consensus estimates call for $2.05 in EPS and $13.55 billion in revenue. Shares were trading recently at $196.76, in a 52-week range of $150.00 to $217.80. The consensus price target is $223.36.

Look for Whole Foods Market Inc. (NASDAQ: WFM) to report its fiscal first-quarter results after the close. The consensus analyst estimates are $0.39 in EPS and revenue of $4.98 billion. Shares of Whole Foods were trading at $29.17 on Tuesday. The consensus price target is $29.95. The 52-week range is $27.67 to $35.58.

And Yum! Brands Inc. (NYSE: YUM) is set to report its fourth-quarter results in the afternoon. The analysts’ consensus estimates call for $0.74 in EPS and $2.09 billion in revenue. Shares were changing hands at $66.66 on Tuesday. The consensus price target is $67.83, and the 52-week trading range is $46.43 to $66.87.
