Sabre Corp., L Brands Dip into Friday's 52-Week Low Club

February 17, 2017: Here are four stocks trading with relatively heavy volume among 30 equities making new 52-week lows in Friday’s session. On the NYSE, decliners led advancers by about 4 to 3 and on the Nasdaq decliners led advancers by about 5 to 3.

Sabre Corp. (NASDAQ: SABR) dropped about 1.3% Friday to post a new 52-week low of $21.02 after closing Thursday at $21.30. The 52-week high is $29.76. Volume of about 3.8 million was roughly 30% higher than the daily average. The company had no specific news.

L Brands Inc. (NYSE: LB) also dropped about 2.6% on Friday to record a new 52-week low of $56.01. The stock closed at $57.48 on Thursday. Volume was about 33% above the daily average of around 2.5 million shares. Wednesday’s report that ecommerce giant Amazon.com is considering competing with the company’s Victoria’s Secret stores has caused some investors to seek greener pastures.

DDR Corp. (NYSE: DDR) dropped about 1.4% Friday, to post a new 52-week low of $14.29 after closing at $14.49 on Thursday. The stock’s 52-week high is $19.92. Volume was about 20% below the daily average of around 2.8 million shares. The company had no specific news.

ArQule Inc. (NASDAQ: ARQL) dropped about 23% Friday, to post a new 52-week low of $1.13 after closing at $1.47 on Thursday. The stock’s 52-week high is $2.17. Volume was about 15 times the daily average of around 150,000 shares. The biopharmaceutical company said this morning that a phase 3 trial of a cancer drug did not meet the primary endpoint of improving overall survival.
