Horizon Pharma PLC (NASDAQ: HZNP) dropped nearly 36% Monday to post a new 52-week low of $10.02 after closing at $15.58 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $23.44. Volume of nearly 32 million was about 15 times the daily average of around 2.7 million shares traded. The company missed on first-quarter profits and revenues and then lowered guidance. A deadly brew.
TherapeuticsMD Inc. (NYSEMKT: TXMD) posted a new 52-week low of $3.50 on Monday, down about 25% compared with Friday’s closing price of $4.67. The stock’s 52-week high is $9.29. Volume totaled around nearly 12 million shares, approaching 4 times the daily average of 3.3 million. The company announced that the FDA had rejected an application to market the company’s TX-004HR drug designed to treat vaginal pain.
DDR Corp. (NYSE: DDR) dropped about 6.3% Monday to post a new 52-week low of $9.27 after closing Friday at $9.89. The 52-week high is $19.92. Volume of around 5.4 million shares was less than 10% lower than the daily average of around 5.8 million. The company had no specific news.
Cobalt International Energy Inc. (NYSE: CIE) dropped about 16% Monday to post a new 52-week low of $0.26 after closing at $0.31 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $2.86. Volume was less than half the daily average of around 10.3 million shares. The company reported a larger-than-expected loss this morning.
