Interpublic, Neuralstem Sink into Tuesday's 52-Week Low Club

July 25, 2017: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 42 equities making new 52-week lows in Tuesday’s session. On the NYSE, advancers led decliners by about 3 to 2 and on the Nasdaq, advancers led decliners by about 8 to 5.
The Interpublic Group of Companies Inc. (NYSE: IPG) dropped about 15.6% Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $21.59 after closing Monday at $25.57. The 52-week high is $25.71. Volume topped 20 million shares traded, about six times the daily average of around 3.4 million. The big advertising agency missed estimates when it reported results this morning.
Team Inc. (NYSE: TISI) dropped more than 37% Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $14.95 after closing at $23.80 on Monday. The stock’s 52-week high is $39.70. Volume of about 5 million was roughly more eight times the daily average. The company had no specific news.
Neuralstem Inc. (NASDAQ: STEM) dropped nearly 61% Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $2.20 after closing at $5.58 on Monday. The 52-week high is $6.60. Volume was about 3.3 million, about 30 times the daily average of around 100,000 shares. The company reported a mid-stage clinical trial of its depressive disorder drug failed to meet its primary endpoint.
Hibbett Sports Inc. (NASDAQ: HIBB) posted a new 52-week low of $12.90 on Tuesday, down about 1.5% from Monday’s closing price of $13.1. Volume totaled around 2.7 million shares, more than four times the daily average of around 640,000. The company issued a profit warning Monday morning. Shares staged a comeback and are now on track to close up about 8% on the day at around $14.15.
