General Electric, Ford Slide into Tuesday's 52-Week Low Club

General Electric Co. (NYSE: GE) fell about 1.3% Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $14.71 after closing at $14.91 on Monday. The 52-week high is $30.59. Volume of about more than 100 million was 15% above the daily average. The company had no specific news and appears to be headed for positive close at around $15.25.

Ford Motor Co. (NYSE: F) traded down about 0.5% Tuesday and posted a new 52-week low of $10.19 after closing Monday at $10.24. The stock’s 52-week high is $13.48. Volume was around 77 million, nearly 95% above the daily average of about 41 million shares. The company had no specific news and shares are poised to close up around 5% for the day.

Chesapeake Energy Corp. (NYSE: CHK) dropped about 3.6% Tuesday to post  a new 52-week low of $2.98 after closing at $3.09 on Monday. The stock’s 52-week high is $6.65. Volume was around 38 million, about 25% below the daily average of around 28.8 million. The company had no specific news and its stock looks headed for a gain around 2.5% Tuesday.

Weatherford International plc (NYSE: WFT) traded down about 3.2% Tuesday and posted a new 52-week low of $2.99 after closing Monday at $3.09. The stock’s 52-week high is $7.09 Volume was around 28 million, about 25% above the daily average of around 22.5 million shares. The company had no specific news and the stock turned around and looks for gain of about 3% at the closing bell.
