Snap, Molson Coors Plunge into Wednesday's 52-Week Low Club

May 2, 2018: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 97 equities making new 52-week lows in Wednesday’s session. On the NYSE decliners led advancers by about 8 to 7 and on the Nasdaq, advancers led decliners by about 5 to 4.
Snap Inc. (NYSE: SNAP) dropped nearly 22% Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $10.96. Shares closed at $14.13 on Tuesday and the stock’s 52-week high is $23.57. Volume of about 136 million shares was more than four times the daily average. The company reported disappointing results after markets closed Tuesday.
AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) fell by about 1.8% Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $31.95 after closing at $32.54 on Tuesday. The 52-week high is $39.80. Volume of about 27 million was less than 10% below the daily average of about 29 million. The company had no specific news.
Mondelez International Inc. (NASDAQ: MDLZ) traded down about 4% Wednesday and posted a new 52-week low of $37.42 after closing Tuesday at $38.99. The stock’s 52-week high is $47.23. Volume totaled around 11.4 million, about 20% higher than the daily average. The company’s Q1 results beat estimates last night but there was no big improvement to lift investors’ spirits.
Molson Coors Brewing Co. (NYSE: TAP) traded down more than 15% Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $60.84 after closing Tuesday at $71.68. The stock’s 52-week high is $97.50. Volume was more than five times the daily average of around 2 million shares. The company’s Q1 results missed estimates as shipment volumes fell.
