H&R Block Inc. (NYSE: HRB) traded down about 21% Wednesday and posted a new 52-week low of $23.33 after closing Tuesday at $0.50. The stock’s 52-week high is $31.80. Volume totaled over 27 million, more than 10 times the daily average of around 2.5 million. The company reported quarterly results last night, but the outlook was poor.
Harmony Gold Mining Co. (NYSE: HMY) fell 1.2% Wednesday to match a 52-week low of $1.56 set Monday and equaled Tuesday. Shares closed at $1.58 yesterday. The 52-week high is $2.53. Volume of around 8.2 million was almost 90% higher than the daily average of about 4.5 million. The company had no specific news.
Avon Products Inc. (NYSE: AVP) traded down about 3.9% Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $1.49 after closing Tuesday at $1.55. The stock’s 52-week high is $3.89. Volume was nearly 30% above the daily average of around 4.8 million shares. The company had no specific news.
Vodafone Group plc (NASDAQ: VOD) dropped about 2.3% Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $24.68. Shares closed at $25.26 on Tuesday and the stock’s 52-week high is $32.75. The company had no specific news.
