Ambev, Vodafone Topple into Thursday's 52-Week Low Club

August 30, 2018: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 71 equities making new 52-week lows in Thursday’s session. On the NYSE decliners led advancers by about 1.82 to 1, and on the Nasdaq, decliners led advancers by about 1.38 to 1.

Ambev SA (NYSE: ABEV) dropped more about 4.4% Thursday to set a new 52-week low of $4.49. Shares closed at $4.70 on Wednesday, and the stock’s 52-week high is $7.43. Volume totaled around 22.6 million, about a third below the daily average. The company had no specific news.

Patterson Companies Inc. (NASDAQ: PDCO) traded down nearly 15% Thursday to set a new 52-week low of $20.23 after closing at $23.73 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $40.90. Volume was nearly seven times the daily average of around 2.3 million. The company beat revenue estimates this morning but missed on profits.

JD.com Inc. (NASDAQ: JD) traded down about 3.7% Thursday and posted a new 52-week low of $30.77 after closing Wednesday at $31.95. The stock’s 52-week high is $50.68. Volume was about 15% below the daily average of around 15.5 million. The company had no specific news.

Vodafone Group plc (NASDAQ: VOD) traded down about 4.9% Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $21.85 after closing Wednesday at $22.98. The stock’s 52-week high is $32.75. Volume was about 75% above the daily average of around 4.3 million shares. The company cleared the final hurdle to its merge its India operations with Idea Cellular.
