October 5, 2018: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 235 equities making new 52-week lows in Friday’s session. On the NYSE decliners led advancers by about 2.04 to 1, and on the Nasdaq, decliners led advancers by about 2.15 to 1.
Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. (NYSE: BABA) dropped about 2.5% Friday to set a new 52-week low of $152.25. Shares closed at $156.13 on Thursday and the stock’s 52-week high is $211.70. Volume was about 10% lower than the daily average of around 21.6 million. The company had no specific news.
JD.com Inc. (NASDAQ: JD) traded down about 3.9% Friday and posted a new 52-week low of $23.37 after closing Thursday at $24.32. The stock’s 52-week high is $50.68. Volume was about a third below the daily average of around 18 million. The company had no specific news.
Newell Brands Inc. (NYSE: NWL) traded down about 6.8% Friday to post a new 52-week low of $18.61 after closing Thursday at $19.97. The stock’s 52-week high is $43.99. Volume was about 70% above the daily average of around 7.8 million shares. The company had no specific news.
Rite Aid Corp. (NYSE: RAD) traded down about 0.9% Friday to match a 52-week low of $1.14 after closing at $11.5 on Thursday. The stock’s 52-week high is $2.55.
