Altria, General Electric Slip into Monday's 52-Week Low Club

November 26, 2018: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 153 equities making new 52-week lows by mid-afternoon on Monday. On the NYSE advancers were led decliners by about 1.73 to 1, and on the Nasdaq, advancers led decliners by about 1.52 to 1.

General Electric Co. (NYSE: GE) dropped about 4% Monday to set a new 52-week low of $7.26. Shares closed at $7.57 on Friday and the stock’s 52-week high is $19.39. Volume was about 10% above the daily average of around 112.2 million. The company had no specific news.

Altria Group Inc. (NYSE: MO) traded down about 1.5% at $52.90 Monday after closing at $53.72 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $74.38. Volume was about equal to the daily average of around 7.9 million. The company had no specific news today.

AK Steel Holding Corp. (NYSE: AKS) traded down about 4.7% Monday and posted a new 52-week low of $3.25 after closing Friday at $3.41. The stock’s 52-week high is $6.80. Volume was about 20% below the daily average of around 10.5 million.  The company had no specific news.

Devon Energy Corp. (NYSE: DVN) traded down about 0.4% at $26.79 Monday after closing at $26.91 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $46.54 and volume was about 25% lower than the daily average of around 7.3 million. The stock recovered all its loss and more on rising energy prices and is set to close up about 0.5% for the day.
