Apple, Boeing, Microsoft and More Dow Earnings Coming This Week

Most of the Dow Jones industrial average components are scheduled to report their latest quarterly reports this week. Coming this week are 12 of the 30 Dow components. The Dow has been subject to increased volatility, especially in December, and some investors may be looking to this current earnings season to stabilize the index.

24/7 Wall St. has put together a preview of those Dow companies scheduled to report their quarterly results this week. Here, we have included the consensus earnings estimates from Thomson Reuters, as well as the stock price and trading history.

Be advised that the earnings and revenue estimates may change ahead of the formal reports, and some companies may change reporting dates as well.

Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) will share its latest quarterly earnings on Monday. The consensus estimates call for $2.99 in earnings per share (EPS) and $14.33 billion in revenue. Shares ended last week at $136.86, in a 52-week range of $112.06 to $169.00. The consensus analyst target is $152.15.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) is scheduled to post its quarterly report late on Tuesday. The consensus estimates are $4.17 in EPS on $84.04 billion in revenue. Shares were last seen at $157.76. The stock has a 52-week range of $142.00 to $233.47, and the consensus price target is $178.71.

Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) will report its latest quarterly earnings before Tuesday’s opening bell. The consensus estimates call for $0.64 in EPS and $13.94 billion in revenue. Shares ended last week at $40.64, in a 52-week range of $33.20 to $46.47. The consensus analyst target is $45.35.

3M Co. (NYSE: MMM) is set to report its most recent quarterly results on Tuesday. Analysts are looking for $2.28 in EPS and $7.87 billion in revenue. Shares closed the week at $195.90, with a consensus price target of $202.79 and a 52-week trading range of $176.87 to $259.77.

Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ) is expected to report its most recent quarterly results on Tuesday as well. The consensus analyst estimates are $1.09 in EPS and revenue of $34.45 billion. Shares of Verizon traded at $56.40 on Friday’s close. The consensus price target is $59.06, and the 52-week trading range is $46.09 to $61.58.

On Wednesday, Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) will report its fourth-quarter results. The analysts’ consensus forecast is EPS of $4.58 on $26.95 billion in revenue. Shares were changing hands at $364.20 as last week came to a close. The consensus price target is $415.71, and the stock has a 52-week range of $292.47 to $394.28.

McDonald’s Corp. (NYSE: MCD) is set to report its most recent quarterly results first thing Wednesday morning. Analysts are looking for $1.89 in EPS and $5.17 billion in revenue. Shares closed the week at $184.00, with a consensus price target of $195.65 and a 52-week trading range of $146.84 to $190.88.

Visa Inc. (NYSE: V) will share its latest quarterly earnings on Wednesday. The consensus estimates call for $1.25 in EPS and $5.41 billion in revenue. Shares ended last week at $138.67, in a 52-week range of $111.02 to $151.56. The consensus analyst target is $162.54.

Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT) also is expected to report its most recent quarterly results on Wednesday. The consensus estimates are $1.09 in EPS and revenue of $32.49 billion. Shares of Microsoft were at $107.17 on Friday’s close. The consensus price target is $125.70, and the 52-week trading range is $83.83 to $116.18.

On Friday, Chevron Corp. (NYSE: CVX) is scheduled to reveal its fourth-quarter results. The consensus estimates are $1.91 in EPS and $46.34 billion in revenue. Shares were last seen trading at $113.22. The consensus price target is $137.79. The 52-week trading range is $100.22 to $131.75.

Merck & Co. Inc. (NYSE: MRK) is expected to report its fourth-quarter results early Friday. The analysts’ consensus forecast is EPS of $1.04 on $10.96 billion in revenue. Shares were changing hands at $72.95 as last week came to a close. The consensus price target is $81.54, and the stock has a 52-week range of $52.83 to $80.19.

Look for Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE: XOM) to report its most recent quarterly results on Friday too. Analysts are looking for EPS of $1.12 and $79.26 billion in revenue. The shares were changing hands at $71.72 on Friday’s close. The consensus price target is $82.99, and the 52-week range is $64.65 to $89.30.
