Thursday was a down day for the broad U.S. markets. The S&P 500 and Dow Jones are continuing to pull back from their highs this year, which would make this the first down week in a while. Crude oil rose slightly in the session. The S&P 500 sectors were almost entirely negative. The most positive sector was utilities up 0.2%. The worst performing sectors were consumer discretionary, finance, and technology, down 1.4%, 1.2%, and 1.1%, respectively.
Crude oil was last seen up 0.6% at $56.57.
Gold was last seen trading flat at $1,285.80.
