The fourth-quarter earnings reporting season is winding down, but a few more major companies will be sharing their results soon. With the coronavirus and China dominating the news flow, it is increasingly important to pay attention to the fundamentals and what these earnings reports have to say. Here, 24/7 Wall St. has put together a preview of a few of the most anticipated quarterly reports expected this week.
We have included the consensus earnings estimates, as well as the stock price and trading history. Be advised that the earnings and revenue estimates may change ahead of the formal reports, and some companies may change reporting dates as well.
HP Inc.’s (NYSE: HPQ) fiscal first-quarter report is scheduled for Monday after the closing bell. The consensus forecast calls for earnings per share (EPS) of $0.54 on $14.63 billion in revenue. Shares have been trading below $23 in recent days. The consensus price target is $21.09, and the 52-week trading range is $15.93 to $24.09.
Palo Alto Networks Inc. (NYSE: PANW) will report its fiscal second-quarter results after the markets close on Monday as well. Analysts are looking for $1.12 in EPS and $843.26 million in revenue. Shares breached the $250 level this past week but then retreated. The consensus price target is $265.23. The 52-week trading range is $192.17 to $260.63.
Expect Home Depot Inc. (NYSE: HD) to release its most recent quarterly results early on Tuesday. The consensus forecast calls for $2.11 in EPS and $25.77 billion in revenue for the fiscal fourth quarter. The share price was last seen near $246. The consensus price target is just $238.93, and shares have traded between $179.52 and $247.32 in the past 52 weeks.
The American Tower Corp. (NYSE: AMT) fourth-quarter report is scheduled for Tuesday morning. The consensus forecast calls for EPS of $1.02 on $1.93 billion in revenue. Shares ended the week near $247. The consensus price target is just $232.64, and the 52-week trading range is $171.71 to $258.62.
Salesforce.com Inc. (NYSE: CRM) results for the fiscal fourth quarter are due after the close Tuesday. The consensus estimates are calling for $0.55 in EPS and $4.75 billion in revenue. Shares traded near $190 on Friday. The consensus price target is $199.72, and the 52-week range trading range is $137.87 to $195.72.
Lowe’s Companies Inc. (NYSE: LOW) is scheduled to report its fiscal fourth-quarter results first thing Wednesday. The consensus estimates call for $0.91 in EPS and revenue of $16.17 billion. The stock rose above $126 a share but pulled back late in the week. The consensus price target is $133.81, and the 52-week trading range is $91.60 to $126.73.
Campbell Soup Co.’s (NYSE: CPB) fiscal second-quarter report is expected Wednesday before the markets open. The consensus forecast calls for $0.66 in EPS on $2.15 billion in revenue. Shares closed just below $48 on Friday. The consensus price target is $45.20, and shares have traded in a 52-week range of $32.17 to $49.56.
Square Inc. (NYSE: SQ) will report its fourth-quarter results after regular trading ends on Wednesday. Analysts are looking for $0.21 in EPS and $593.07 million in revenue. Shares were trading around $84 apiece as the week wound down, while the consensus price target is just $76.22. The stock has a 52-week trading range of $54.41 to $87.25.
The Best Buy Co. Inc. (NYSE: BBY) fiscal fourth-quarter report is scheduled for early Thursday. The consensus forecast calls for EPS of $2.75 on $15.06 billion in revenue. The stock ended the week above $90 a share. The consensus price target is $89.68, and the 52-week trading range is $59.35 to $91.99.
Autodesk Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) results for the fiscal fourth quarter are due after the close Thursday. The consensus estimates are calling for $0.89 in EPS and $890.17 million in revenue. Shares slipped below $204 late in the week. The consensus price target is $211.91, and the 52-week range trading range is $129.70 to $211.58.
And look for Dell Technologies Inc. (NYSE: DELL) to release its most recent quarterly results after the close on Thursday. The consensus forecast calls for $2.02 in EPS and $24.02 billion in revenue for the fiscal fourth quarter. Late in the week, shares traded below $52. The consensus price target is $63.64, and shares have ranged between $44.35 and $70.55 in the past 52 weeks.
