Google (GOOG) Looks For Amazon's (AMZN) Weakness

nokToo many companies want to compete with Amazon’s (NASDAQ:AMZN) relatively successful Kindle unit, although investors are concerned that the devices, priced at $249, will never have mass market appeal.

Barnes & Noble (NYSE:BKS) is in the process of launching an e-reader to help it sell electronic content. The chain needs something to offset falling store sales.

Sony (NYSE:SNE) has entered the market for e-readers.

Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) will use its technology a massive user base to open its own e-book store. According to Reuters, “Google plans to launch an online store to deliver electronic books to any device with a Web browser.” Publishers will keep 63% of the revenue from content.

The field is getting too crowded both in the e-reader and e-book sector. That means a lot of companies are going to lose money
