Facebook Dominates Twitter Among Brands -- Optimal

Optimal Inc. has released a new study about brand leadership numbers between Twitter and Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ: FB). The data show the massive lead the world’s largest social network has in terms of the number of people who follow major brands.
In particular, people who follow YouTube number more than 75 million on Facebook and only 29 million on Twitter.
The gulf becomes greater when major corporate brands are considered. MTV followers are more than 45 million on Facebook and just above 8 million on Twitter. For Red Bull the number is 38 million to one million. For Starbucks the figure is 34 million to less than four million. For McDonald’s the figure is almost 29 million for Facebook to just over a million for Twitter. The figures are similarly big for Skype and Disney.
