According to an exclusive report by The Wall Street Journal, Sprint Corp. (NYSE: S) is in talks to provide wireless service for Comcast Corp. (NASDAQ: CMCSA) and Charter Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR). Sprint has been in fourth place among the large American wireless carriers, trailing AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T), Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) and T-Mobile US Inc. (NASDAQ: TMUS). T-Mobile and Sprint have apparently been involved in merger talks recently.

Alphabet Inc.’s (NASDAQ: GOOGL) driverless car division, Waymo, has teamed up with Avis to service and store its vehicles. It is a sign of how quickly the company has moved to realize ambitions to have a national footprint.

General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM) lowered its forecast for U.S. auto sales this year. Originally, the largest U.S. car company had forecast unit sales at above 17.5 million. GM now expects sales to fall several hundred thousand short of that.

Google may face antitrust fines in Europe that could top $1.2 billion.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) has leased several cars from Hertz to test its autonomous driving software.

The Jeff Bezos–owned Blue Origin rocket company will open facilities in Alabama. According to CNN Money:

Governor Kay Ivey said on Monday that Blue Origin, Bezos’ private spaceflight company, will build a facility in Huntsville to manufacture BE-4 rocket engines. The decision “helps cement Alabama as the preferred destination for the aerospace industry,” Ivey said.

The 200,000 square foot plant will create up to 342 new manufacturing jobs. Blue Origin will make about $200 million in capital investments in Alabama, according to the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber. Ivey said the new hires will make an average salary of $75,000 a year, plus benefits.
