The Boeing Co.
Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) reported Monday morning that third-quarter commercial aircraft deliveries totaled 199 planes. For the year to date, Boeing has delivered 580 commercial jets, compared with 528 deliveries through September of 2014.

Boeing delivered 184 commercial planes in the first quarter of this year and 197 in the second quarter.

In 2014, Boeing delivered a total of 723 commercial jets and has estimated that it will deliver between 750 and 755 for the full year in 2015. Last year’s deliveries were the most ever for any aircraft maker, and Boeing seems on pace to break that record again this year.

Total deliveries of military aircraft trail last year’s totals however. In the first nine months of 2015, new build AH-64 Apache helicopters totaled 18, compared with 30 in the same time frame last year. CH-47 Chinook helicopters totaled 35 new builds this year, compared with 46 a year ago and F/A-18E/F & EA-18G fighter plane deliveries have totaled 28 so far in 2015, compared with 36 in the first nine months of 2014.

Boeing delivered 126 of its 737 single-aisle narrow-body planes in the third quarter, compared with 120 in the third quarter of 2014. Year to date, the 737 has accounted for 375 deliveries, compared with 359 in the same period a year ago.

The company delivered 37 Dreamliners in the quarter, up from 31 in the year-ago quarter. Year to date, Boeing has delivered 101 of the dual-aisle wide-body 787s, compared with a total of 79 in the first nine months of 2014. Given the delivery rate of 120 new 787s for the full year, Boeing looks on track to reach that total by the end of November and to surpass 130 deliveries for the full year.

Boeing’s shares traded up fractionally in the noon hour Monday, at $132.75 in a 52-week range of $115.14 to $158.83.
