Although it requires a bit more effort and investigation, shopping a clearance sale can be particularly rewarding. At Best Buy Co. Inc. (NYSE: BBY), for example, the company is offering clearance pricing on a wide variety of clearance, open-box, refurbished or used items at significant savings.
We’ve trolled through some categories and found a few that look particularly good.
A Samsung 40-inch, 1080p, Smart HDTV (UN40J6200AFXZA) is available for $379.99 from the Outlet store link on the company’s website. The price is $120 below the usual price and will be shipped free.
A 14-inch Dell laptop with an Intel Celeron chip, 2 GB of memory and 32 GB of flash storage is on offer for $179.99, a savings of $50 and the lowest price we saw for this model (I3452-600BLK). The company also has two open-box offers on the same laptop for as low as $161.99.
An Apple iPad Air 2 with Wi-Fi connectivity and 64 GB of memory (MGKL2LL/A) is selling for $474.99, a savings of $125 from the list price. Again, shipping is free, and the device comes with an included Internet security package. We saw a used version of this model for $25 less at another store.
Finally, a Sony 18.2 megapixel camera (DSCWX350/B) is on sale at the outlet site for $199.99, a savings of $120 off the usual price. The camera includes free shipping and Shutterfly software.
