Online retail giant Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) has named its best products of the year for 2015 in 29 categories and the company is promoting them as top picks for the new year. Categories include the Amazon’s own hardware products as well as products ranging from music to sunglasses.

This could be a very sound strategy until the next big thing comes along because nothing succeeds like success and all these products have presumably been big sellers for Amazon. Here are a handful of examples.

Nothing was bigger in 2015 than Adele’s new album, ’25’, and Amazon is selling the CD for $11.88 and an MP3 download for $10.99. For buyers of the CD, a free MP3 version of the album is included for subscribers to Amazon Music.

The hit movie ‘Jurassic World’ is available in Blu-ray format for $19.96, a discount of 52% from the $34.98 list price. Used versions of the Blu-ray discs begin at $10.98.

Amazon’s Echo system is on offer for $179.99 or for 5 monthly payments of $36. Shipping is also free.

Among kitchen items, the Instant Pot I-DUO60 programmable 6-quart stainless steel pressure cooker is the top product. Amazon is selling the device for $118.68, a savings of 49% from the list price. Free shipping is included.

And those sunglasses? Amazon offers Ray-BAN RB2132 New Wayfarer non-polarized sunglasses with 55mm lenses for $76.90, a discount of 41% from the list price of $130.00. A polarized pair sells for $111.48, a savings of 38% from the list price of $180.00.
