This Week's Warehouse Deals at Amazon

Thinkstock

Retailers have to move inventory from their warehouses to customers at a good clip in order not to get stuck with a bunch of stuff they can’t sell because it has passed its sell-by date for some reason. Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) is no different. It’s just bigger than most retail operations.

The online retailer puts the goods it wants to clear out on its Warehouse Deals page, and if customers are looking for good prices on used or open-box items, this is a good place to start. All these items are available in limited quantities and the sale prices end May 1. Here is Amazon’s description of its condition ratings for used products.

Here are some examples going into the weekend.

A Kindle Fire seven-inch tablet with Wi-Fi connectivity and 8 gigabytes of memory is on offer for $28.68 in used-acceptable condition. There is only one listed at this price, and another in used-good condition is selling for $30.59. Unless you are a Prime member, neither ships free unless other items are added to the order to meet the minimum $49 order size.

An Asus GL551 15-inch gaming laptop (2014 model) with a 1 terabyte hard drive is selling for $870.91. A newer version of the machine sells for $978.99, discounted 11% from the list price of $1,099. There are five warehouse items, all in used-very good condition. A sixth in used-like new condition is selling for $920.67. Shipping is free.

A ViewSonic 22-inch LED monitor (VX2270SMH-LED) sells for $102.04 in used-acceptable condition. The same monitor in used-very good condition sells for $115.04 and shipping is free. Best Buy is selling this monitor for $129.99 new with free shipping.
